A NEW DIMENSION IN QUALITY

NEW TECHNOLOGIES, NEW LEVELS OF QUALITY

Even the world’s foremost experts in the design of brewing equipment initially dismissed brewing beer with Thalheim water as impossible – unless the water was treated before the brewing process, removing dissolved minerals from the water. Without treatment, the experts argued, the water would be too corrosive and would destroy any equipment in no time.

But to do anything to alter the uniqueness of the water was out of the question for Thalheim. They would rather have abandoned the idea of brewing altogether than have to adapt the water to the brewing process.

STEEL TO THE RESCUE

After some extensive research, several experiments and numerous material tests, a solution was found:
using a special steel never before used in beer brewing, German company Krones, the world's leading manufacturer of high-tech brewing equipment, was able to design and build the Thalheim plant in close collaboration with local experts.
Today, this facility produces the beers that showcase the distinctive character of Thalheim's healing water in the most delicious way possible.

QUALITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

It goes without saying that the production and bottling of water, soft drinks and beers in Thalheim comply with the highest standards: all processes are regulated by the strictest international quality standard for foodstuffs, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Production and raw materials are permanently monitored, for example by two state-of-the-art in-house laboratories. In terms of quality assurance, Thalheim far exceeds the statutory requirements: for instance, the Austrian Drinking Water Ordinance requires a full annual drinking water analysis – in Thalheim, the water is tested weekly.
